It was founded in 1871 and opened in 1875. The approximately 22-hectare palm garden is home to around 4500 plant species from all over the world. The botanical garden is an institution of the Verein für Naturkunde in Frankfurt am Main. Visitors can visit the Palm Garden all year round. Special exhibitions are held regularly in spring and summer.
• The Frankfurt Grüneburgpark is a large city park in Frankfurt am Main. It was laid out in the 19th century and is now a popular meeting place for walkers, joggers and cyclists. There are numerous playgrounds, cafés and restaurants in the park. The famous Goethehaus can also be found here.
