The northern part of the North Sea is famous for its beautiful beaches. You can walk all the way from Limfiorden to Skagen along wide, white beaches. On your way you will pass beautiful heather landscapes, plantations and fantastic lime stone formations. It is a good idea to take a little rest in the tall dunes to enjoy the sun over a cold beer and some open sandwiches. From the beach booths you can buy fish, for instance smoked mackerels. This fantastic part of Denmark offers open spaces, fresh air and unspoilt nature, and the sea, the wind and the light create feelings of freedom and infinite space – all year round.
Northern Jutland is famous for it many craftsmen, painters, ceramic artists and glass blowers. Here you can meet them all. Few other areas house such a huge number of studios and galleries, and it is often possible to watch the artists during their creation process. You might also get the chance to have a little talk with them about inspiration, colours and materials. The amber shops of the area offer an interesting range of jewellery and handicraft products.
When you are on holiday in the northern part of Jutland at the North Sea coast, you must visit Faarup Sommerland where you can spend a whole day with fun and activities for all the family. If you prefer windsurfing, Klitmøller is the ideal place to go as you will find the biggest waves in Denmark right here. Pure paradise for windsurfers, but also for people standing on the beach to watch the surfers! It is an amazing sight to follow the art of windsurfing. In case you get inspired, this is also the place to find skilled instructors giving windsurfing lessons.
