Snow sauna

The snow sauna offers a unique experience that is exactly the opposite of a classic sauna – instead of heat, you can expect pure cold here. This type of sauna is lined with snow and ice and provides an especially intense cooling down after a hot sauna session. The combination of warmth and cold has an invigorating effect on the body and promotes blood circulation in a special way.

In a snow sauna, the temperature remains constant at -5 to -10 degrees. The room is covered with a layer of real snow and ice, creating a refreshing and almost surreal ambiance. The recommended duration of stay is about 3 to 5 minutes – just long enough to feel the beneficial cold without overloading the body. The extreme cold stimulates circulation and provides an intense refreshment after the heat.

The snow sauna is often used as a contrast program to hot sauna sessions. After a stay in a classic sauna, it offers immediate cooling and promotes the alternation between warmth and cold, which is considered particularly health-promoting. Cooling down in the snow sauna strengthens the immune system, helps the body regenerate, and can relieve tension. The fresh, cool air is also beneficial for the respiratory tract and supports the recovery process.

Another advantage of the snow sauna is the possibility to experience it in combination with nature. These saunas are often attached to outdoor areas, allowing you to go directly outside to feel the transition from warmth to cold even more intensely. Whether as a refreshing conclusion or as a change between sauna sessions – the snow sauna offers an extraordinary experience that revitalizes body and mind.
